NEW YORK -- A bookstore owner was sentenced to 13 years in prison Monday for his role in a conspiracy to fund terrorist groups abroad caught on tape by government informants.

The sentencing was the first in a case that also ensnared a New York musician and karate expert, a Florida doctor and a Washington cab driver. .

So if you haven't noticed, there's about a foot of fresh snow on the ground in Ithaca. Luckily for us, the temperature at the surface remained warm enough to keep the roads relatively clear, as well as to allow snow accumulating on tree branches to melt enough to keep downed limbs to a minimum. Today we will see the remnants of Yesterday's Nor'easter that dropped over seven-and-a-half inches of rain in Central Park in a 24 hour period. The storm will move out late tonight, and warmer temperatures will move into our area. However, due to all of the fresh snow, we will see some fog as it melts as well as some flooding in low land areas. The weekend looks incredible as temperatures will return to the upper 50s and we should even see the Sun! Hopefully the snow will have melted by then.

The former New York City mayor appeared before about 2,500 people on the Texas A&M campus as part of a lecture series.

Former president George H.W. Bush introduced Giuliani, praising his handling of events in New York City after the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Secret Society: Sleuthing Socialite Rank

Why wait for New York magazine or Vanity Fair to breathlessly ponder—and likely fail to answer—who's behind Manhattan's online slam book SocialiteRank? Radar blows open the blue blood ranks, letting anyone with a working mouse crash the members-only club and help flush out the mystery blogger. Oh, we have our own suspicions. But with Olivia Palermo's attorneys itching to file a defamation suit against whomever pens this thing, we thought it wise to let you do the outing.

We've handled the dossier and rounded up the most likely suspects. You vote. Results will be published Monday.
